Early cars and other automobiles used to have an open design and there were no windshields. The drivers had to wear shades or goggles to protect their eyes from any dust or other in the air, such as insects. This became very uncomfortable and impractical with the passage of time, until the windshield was invented circa 1904.

What a great team at Smiley's Glass. I recently had a windshield replaced. Lorri made sure I had the "75th Anniversary" edition glass to match the existing. It's a small detail, but it matters to me.
We had a little hiccup along the way, but Peyton and the crew, including Peyton's brother made things right. I'm more than satisfied with the entire experience. Thank you to Ashley and Peyton at Smileys for fixing my cars windshield! When driving back from Philly, my car got hit by a rock and it immediately splintered. I waited until it was closer to my inspection date to get it replaced. I dropped off my car a day before my appointment at Smileys and picked up a day after it was ready, and they kept it safe in their lot. I did not have a flat surface for my car to get worked on at home.

They were efficient, cost effective, worked great with my insurance, and left me smiling! Thank you Ashley and Peyton!
